The pedestal requires minimal assembly as it is delivered with the main compartment and three drawers already put together, I just had to add the five wheels and three pulls. The pedestal's drawers fully extend, allowing access all the way back for more storage. It is easy to move, and alternatively, the wheels lock to keep it from moving when the drawers are opened or shut.
