The chair base and seat are joined by screws right under the cushion. It would be so much better if this small area was recessed and there was a plastic cap to place over the screws. The cushions are very firm and have a flat space on the bottom to go over the screws. The cushions create a higher chair than is comfortable and give you the feeling of balancing on toadstools. I will replace those with some that are softer which adds to the expense. One chair base was damaged when it arrived. Customer service was great and had the vendor send a replacement right away. I will keep the chairs but wish there had been a bit more care in the joining design.

The styling is beautiful but the chair cushions are made of hard foam. The cushions could be softer. The price was right. One of the chairs was defective but a replacement was sent immediately. Very pleased with the delivery & service.
